Business Tourism Membership

From April 2010 to March 2011, Marketing Cheshire secured £3.3million Economic Impact Value of Business Tourism for the destination and we have already achieved £1.7 million part way through the 2011/2012 financial year.

Some of the high profile events that we have bid for and secured include the European Embryo Transfer Association, the British Sociological Association and the Royal Observer Corps Association who have held their annual conference in Cheshire for two consecutive years, as well as partnering major events in Cheshire, such as Cholmondeley Pageant of Power by providing an Accommodation Booking Service to visitors.

As part of our service we are also working in partnership with Liverpool Convention Bureau and Marketing Manchester and pursuing opportunities to arrange social itineraries in Chester & Cheshire for conferences being hosted in their cities.

Our marketing and PR campaigns during 2011/2012 will focus specifically on increasing exposure both nationally and internationally.

Our first major event in this campaign is our exclusive London Showcase event, which is taking place at the Gherkin in the city of London, aiming to introduce high-profile corporate buyers to the business tourism & leisure offer that we have in Cheshire.
